Guess who just got a pay hike? No silly, it's not anyone at infoAnalytica. Not even a film star. Na na, not our 'monkey'-business cricketers either. It's none other than our very own President Shrimati Pratibha Patil.
Yes, the Indian President's salary has been hiked to Rs. 1,00,000/- a month. Yes, that's One Lakh Indian Rupees. Why? Well, for being the first woman president, for being the pride of Maharashtra, for being able to talk to spirits ityaadi ityaadi.
And wait, even cabinet ministers have got a raise. Their salaries will now be Rs. 65,000/- a month!!
To make matters clearer, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Ram Vilas Paswan, Sharad Pawar, Shankersinh Vaghela, Arjun Singh and the whole joker gang draws 65,000 rupees a month as salary.
Ab itne se paiso mei kya aayega aaj ke zamane mei? Bas ek chartered plane, kuchh karodo ki zameen, char-paanch aalishan bungley, ek darjan gaadiyan, saal ki 25 videsh yatrayein aur phir thoda sa mewa. Bas? Mantri mohoday kitna saral jeevan jeete hai!
And I'm sure this would probably have been the only decision the entire parliament would have probably taken unanimously without any mat-bhed in what, the last twenty years???

She doesn't really talk to spirits, right? otherwise it'd be so amazingly cool! also, isn't the word 'rashtrapati' sexist? you obviously cannot call her 'rashtrapatni'. and if you continue to address her as 'rashtrapati' it is just wrong!
